At their late teens the girls toured throughout the USA with the bluegrass group Blue Night Express. Shortly after, the sisters formed the group Dixie Chicks in 1989, together with two other original members Laura Lynch and Robin Lynn Macy. After releasing two bluegrass-oriented independent label albums and some internal changes, the group released Wide Open Spaces in 1998, which became the best-selling country album released by a group in that year. The album topped at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 200 and achieved multi-platinum sales, and spawned the hits ""I Can Love You Better"" and ""There's Your Trouble"". At the following year's Grammy Awards, Wide Open Spaces was voted Best Country Album. The group returned with a more pop-oriented style album Fly, which became an instant success and spent several months on top of the charts in 1999 and brought them several awards. In 2002, Dixie Chicks returned to the top of the US charts with their new album, Home. On tour The Dixie Chicks are peforming for sell-out crowds in the biggest venues in the world. "
