"Born in Rome, Eros Ramazotti began his professional career in Italy as a teenage Latin-Pop vocalist in 1982, performing in a local talent contest. In 1983 Ramazotti won the newcomer's section of the San Remo Song Festival with the ballad, ""Adesso Tú"". Beginning with 1991's In Ogni Senso, Ramazzotti recorded three albums for Arista during the first half of the '90s. His '93 release ""Tutte Storie"" sold over 4.5 million copies. Ramazotti's next release ""Dove Cé Musica"" in 1996 was his first attempt at co-writing and producing. ""This is very much my own creation,"" he told Billboard Magazine, ""I feel as if it is my son. Every song on the album has been meticulously constructed step by step, each having its theme and vitality."" Tracks included ""Piu Bella Cosa"", a romantic ballad with gospel backing vocals, released as the first single from the album. His range featured diverse styles ranging from salsa and merengue to country and pop. He retained his popularity in Italy, while becoming increasingly adopted by the American Hispanic community. The album and video were released in Spanish as well as Italian. The album was promoted on tour throughout Europe and South America. Eros Ramazzotti is especially popular in Germany, Mexico and Argentina, as well Italy and he has sold over 20 million records worldwide. "
