"The Britpop band Shed Seven was formed in York, England in 1991. However, frontman Rick Witter, guitarist Paul Banks, bassist Tom Gladwin and drummer Alan Leach started performing together during their teenage years. In 1994, Shed Seven released their debut single ""Mark""/""Casino Girl."" The results were quite dissapointing but ther follow up single, ""Dolphin,"" reached the UK Top 30. Another single followed ""Speakeasy,"" and their debut LP, Change Giver came out later that year. Subsequent Shed Seven singles such as ""Where Have You Been Lately?"" and ""Ocean Pie"" continued to hit the charts. Shed Seven established a massive fan base, even in Thailand. Their 1996's album Maximum High was a great success and earned the group outstanding reviews, also thanks to the hit ""Getting Better."" The album was followed by a two year period of touring. In 1998, Shed Seven returned with Let It Ride. "
