The band has been around in various guises since 2002, with names such as Superheroes of BMX, The Angel Range, Diet, and Union, before settling on Bloc Party in September 2003. Bloc Party is treading a fine line between funky rock and punk - Smashing Pumpkins meets Fleetwood Mac! Bloc Party are: Kele Okereke (voice and guitar), Russell Lissack (guitar), Gordon Moakes (bass and voice) and Matt Tong (Drums).

Bloc Party are an extremely popular English post-punk revival band. It may seem Bloc Party's own variation of spiky guitar rock draws on influences such as The Cure, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Joy Division, Gang of Four and XTC, but they say that some of these bands are just comparisons. Bloc Party will tour London and the UK in 2007. All concerts sold out in minutes, but we have still some tickets available.
